Day visit to Salford Quays.
Salford Quays is an area of Salford in Greater Manchester near the end of the Manchester Ship Canal. Previously the site of Salford Docks opened by Queen Victoria in 1894, it became one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in the UK following the closure of the dockyards in 1982. As well as being home to the Lowry Museaum and the Imperial War Museaum North, therer are buildings and bridges of architectural interest and (hopefully) of interest to photographers.
